I once wrote an email to Bob Goff. I was obsessed with his books ‘Love Actually’ and “Everybody Always’ at the time and found myself in a similar situation that he wrote about in one of his books about the landing great not coming down on the plane he was driving all because of a little light that decided it couldn’t be bothered to come on. The same thing happened to me even as I had the book with me in the plane. I emailed him immediately and he emailed me right back saying that it sounded like I had a story to write. At the time, I was disappointed. I had just told you this harrowing story of how I almost died and all you can send back is a one-sentence email about how I need to write a story? You already wrote the story! But I later came to realize how thankful I was that he said this because it taught me to see my own experiences as significant. Each day I go through something significant, but it seems insignificant to me because it is my normal daily reality, but to others it could be a great story that needs to be told by someone like me. So write down everything because nothing is insignificant in life as each life is exceedingly different and important to someone who has an alternate reality
