My name is Leah Brainerd

I grew up in Tulsa, OK and have lived in Florida as well as studied in Stillwater, OK and Florence, Italy!

Accomplishments

As a little girl, my first word was shoes. From a young age, I have always loved window shopping and figuring out everything there is to know about clothes. This led to me completing my Bachelors of Science in Fashion Merchandising from Oklahoma State University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, in the top 1% of my major. I was also a Senior of Significance, in the top 1% of my graduating class from the entire university. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy for a semester learning about Luxury Brand Management as well as Trend Forecasting and Fashion Communications. I have had jobs in luxury retail as well as in online retail and have a passion for entrepreneurship.

My Personal Brand Statement

I have a passion for writing and fashion as well as sustainability in the fashion industry. My past and present professional training are aimed at growing into a seasoned professional in the Fashion Industry. I hope to help others see how clothing is truly a living art that can have significant impacts on the mentality of their own lives as well as those of the people around them.

My Inspirations

I draw inspiration from many places, but I primarily love simplistic design and not over-complicating things. I love the minimalistic ideal but I also appreciate prints when necessary. Bright colors are inspiring to me as well as looking at past trends and ideas. I am always ready to re-create past fashions and make them applicable to today and love thinking of new article ideas based on color and lifestyle.
